Pre production has begun

What a whirlwind of a season this has been. After exiting the month long fundraiser Jessica and I realized that our marriage needed some attention so we decided as a family to start driving north for a quick 2 week sabbatical. I want to pause here for a moment and say something... Our lives from the outside probably look rather irresponsible to some (you all should see how much more irresponsible it looks from the inside at times) however, the life we have cultivated is not simply one giant reaction to impulsivity. Our outward decisions are mere ripples of our intimate (and often times imperfect) relationship with Jesus. To some, this might seem crazy or "weird" and I completely understand but I want you to bare with me for a moment. The simple truth is that God, Jesus, holy spirit (whatever name you place on Him) desperately wants to speak through every moment of our lives. Ken Helser puts it so flawlessly, "We can see God in anything. We can miss God in everything." Our life style can easily be tagged as millennial irresponsibility but we call it obedience. This is a journey that I believe every professing Christian is on however, many don't practice. There are thousands of tools that aid us in this process of listening to God's voice and I like many others have developed my own that I will be sharing with you all in posts ahead. I want to apologize ahead of time for the rabbit trailing that will likely take place with this private page ... In all honesty I have no idea what this will look like or even what its primary content is supposed to be. What I do know is that after this kickstarter campaign I have a faithful tribe of over 100 people that I get to share my life with.

Below I have an extremely small glimpse into my process of songwriting. This song was birthed within a hallway in midtown Portland, Oregon. It may or may not end up on the record as we are still in the deciding stages of song selection but It excites me to invite you in on this very intimate process. I love you all so much and I am honored to have you on this journey!
